Lockerby canvasses community October 30th for Kids Caring for Kids Cancer Drive
A long-standing tradition of caring will continue on Thursday, October 30, 2025 when the students and staff of Lockerby Composite School canvass the city and surrounding communities from 5 pm to 9 pm.
The Cancer Drive directly supports pediatric cancer care at the Shirley and Jim Fielding Northeast Cancer Centre at Health Sciences North and helps keep our kids in need of care closer to home.
Canvassing students will wear identifiable ribbons and will issue receipts for all donations.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Lockerby Composite School’s Kids Caring for Kids Cancer Drive. Since its inception, over $1.1 million has been raised for pediatric cancer care in the north.
“Our students take tremendous pride in what they have accomplished over the last 30 years,” said Principal Ryan Lafraniere. “They hope to enjoy the same amount of community support as last year when they raised more than $45,000. Every dollar makes a difference.”
