May 7 – Accommodation Review Wembley P.S. third public meeting
The third public meeting of the Accommodation Review Committee for Wembley Public School will take place at the school on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The committee includes parents/guardians from the School Council.
The mandate of the Accommodation Review Committee is to develop options for student accommodation which will maximize student learning within the resources available to Rainbow District School Board. The Committee will present their findings and recommendations to the Board’s Administrative Council. Any changes that may be approved would take effect in September 2009 at the earliest.
Parents/guardians and the community at large are invited to provide input as the consultative process continues. The first public meeting focused on sharing the data. The second public meeting looked at what is and what could be. Options developed by the Accommodation Review Committee will be presented at the third public meeting. The public will have an opportunity to provide input on options developed by the Committee at the fourth public meeting.

at Wembley Public School from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
In keeping with the following guiding principle – to ensure that all students continue to have access to the best programming possible in quality school facilities – the Accommodation Review Committee is conducting a public accommodation review using a School Valuation Framework that assesses the value of the school to the student, the community, the school board, and the local economy.
The Accommodation Review Committee will share information at the public meetings related to the accommodation review process, data, school valuation information and options. The Committee will also consider community feedback on options for accommodating students, prepare an Accommodation Review Committee Report including findings and recommendations, submit the report to Rainbow District School Board’s Administrative Council and make the report accessible to the public.
The Administrative Council will present the Accommodation Review Committee Report to the Board. The Administrative Council will present their recommendations to the Board.
Requests for presentations at a public meeting must be made in writing prior to the meeting by emailing [email protected] or calling 705.674.3171, ext. 7212. Presentations will be limited to 10 minutes. Written copies must be made prior to the meeting and submitted to the Accommodation Review Committee for the minutes.
For those unable to attend public meetings, written input will be accepted within the timelines specified in the Schedule of Public Meetings. Please send written submissions, clearly identifying the accommodation area as Wembley Public School, to:
