Monetville Public School hosts Fall Feast Luncheon

On Friday, October 5, 2012, all students and staff at Monetville Public School focused on celebrations and traditions of the local community.  The students hosted a special Fall Feast Luncheon. Students brought in a potato, a carrot and a slice of bread to add to the traditional October meal and invited many community members to join them. Chief Denise Restoule, Mayor Claude Bouffard, Fire Chief Jacques Bouffard, OPP Detachment Commander Yves Forget, Paramedic Scott Cameron, Lions Club Members Ellen Fletcher and Bob McDonald, Star of the North Women’s Institute representative Barb Morley, Rainbow District School Board Superintendent Sharon Speir and many others, including Dokis First Nation School students and staff, enjoyed the feast.  The wonderful dinner was orchestrated by Chef Ryan Trotter. Junior Kindergarten to Grade 2 and Grade 5/6 students sang thankful songs.
