October 18: Parents invited to learn about “Parenting Through the Storm”
Parents/guardians are invited to learn about thriving as a family and weathering the storm with a popular parenting author on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 7 pm. Ann Douglas will be the featured speaker at the Annual General Meeting of Rainbow District School Board’s Parent Involvement Committee. The presentation will be held virtually.
In this encouraging and story-rich presentation, Ann Douglas will share some of her own hard-won wisdom about thriving as a family during the toughest of days – which is the focus of her book “Parenting Through the Storm”.
Her guidance is based on interviews with more than 50 parents of children who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, an autism spectrum disorder, or a related challenge, and who are eager to share their best advice with other parents.
“Expect a presentation that is kind, encouraging and real that will leave you feeling anything but alone,” says Rainbow District School Board Director of Education Bruce Bourget. “Everyone is welcome to join us online.”
The presentation will take place on Google Meet. See links below.
Ann Douglas sparks conversations that matter about parenting and mental health. She is a frequent contributor to CBC Radio and a bestselling parenting author. Ann is the creator of “The Mother of All” book series and the author, most recently, of “Happy Parents, Happy Kids” and “Parenting Through the Storm.”
A passionate and inspiring speaker, Ann Douglas delivers keynote addresses and leads small-group workshops at health, parenting, and education conferences across the country.
