Open Houses: Time to register for Full Day Every Day Kindergarten

Rainbow Schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin are now accepting registrations for full day every day Kindergarten effective September 2010. Children will be immersed in a rich learning environment where their social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth will be nurtured through stimulating hands-on activities.

Parents/guardians are invited to special Open Houses that will take place at area Rainbow Schools the week of February 1 to 5, 2010. Visit rainbowschools.ca for the complete schedule of dates and times.

For enrolment in Junior Kindergarten, your child must be four years of age by December 31st, 2010. For enrolment in Senior Kindergarten, your child must be five years of age by December 31st, 2010.

If registering your child for the first time, please bring his/her identification documents including birth certificate, birth registry/baptismal certificate, Ontario Health Card and immunization record.

Parents/guardians can enroll their children in the English Program or the French Immersion Program.

The English Program is exclusively in English and includes a Core French component. Students learn basic French through songs, games, drama and interactive activities for a specified period of time daily, beginning in Grade 1.

French Immersion immerses children in the French language, including cultural experiences. The program provides a balance of English and French instruction. French is gradually increased throughout the Kindergarten program. This program is designed for English speaking parents/guardians so that they may support their children.
