Parents/guardians invited to learn about the importance of well-being
Parents/guardians in Rainbow Schools are invited to learn about the importance of well-being on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at 7 pm in Sudbury Secondary School’s Library.
Guest speakers, Kim Nadeau and Debbie Digby of the Sudbury & District Health Unit, will discuss well-being, a fundamental factor essential for developing children who thrive.
“In the school community, we want to enhance the well-being of all students,” says Public Health Nurse Debbie Digby. “To do so, we must ask ourselves, how can we help children become resilient and develop the skills necessary to overcome obstacles?”
She adds: “During our presentation, parents/guardians will learn evidence-based strategies they can use to ensure their children prosper inside and outside of the classroom.”
“We invite all parents/guardians to enjoy this free presentation being hosted by the Parent Involvement Committee,” says Rainbow District School Board Director of Education Norm Blaseg. “This topic will also be of interest to administrators, teachers and support staff. Everyone is welcome.”
Sudbury Secondary School is located at 154 College Street, Sudbury.
