Power Outage at Confederation and Northeastern – Schools remain open

Power has been restored at Northeastern Elementary School.

Update at 4:20 pm

The power was restored at Confederation Secondary School earlier this afternoon.

Rainbow District School Board wishes to advise parents/guardians and the public that there is a power outage at Confederation Secondary School in Val Caron and Northeastern Elementary School in Garson.

Both schools will remain open and classes will continue today as scheduled.

Washrooms are functioning and both buildings will remain warm during this time period.

Phone lines are not working. There is no access to the Internet.

To contact Confederation Secondary School or Northeastern Elementary School in the event of an emergency only,  please call the Board Office at 705-674-3171.

Power at Confederation Secondary School and Northeastern Elementary School is expected to be restored by mid-afternoon.
