What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?
Rainbow Board accepting applications for Transition Programs
Rainbow District School Board will offer transition programs to support students with significant special needs who are in Intensive Support Programs as well as students experiencing severe anxiety returning to the school environment this fall.
Applications are currently being accepted for the programs, which are for students entering Year 2 of Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Space is limited. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 14, 2020.

Parents/guardians will be contacted if their child is selected for the program.
The programs will be offered in person from 9 am to noon from Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, 2020, in a location to be determined.
The programs will focus on reestablishing familiarity with routines and procedures, resilience building activities and how to deal with stress, and connecting with mental health providers, where required.
There will be no focus on academics.
Transportation will not be provided.
Due to the pandemic, all participants will be required to follow health and safety protocols. Staff and students will receive personal protective equipment. Student groupings will remain small.
