Rainbow District School Board now accepting registrations for adult education and night school

Registrations are now being accepted for Adult Education and Night School courses being offered by Rainbow District School Board this fall.

To register, visit the Continuing Education Centre at Sudbury Secondary School’s College Street entrance (Room C-200) weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm. There will be evening registrations for Night School on Tuesday, September 12th and Wednesday, September 13th, 2006 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

Adult Day Classes begin September 11, 2006. FREE credit courses are available during the day to any adults 19 years of age and older and out of high school for at least one semester. Adults can earn two high school credits in approximately six weeks.

The Continuing Education Centre offers adult day classes in computers, Math, science, physics, English, anthropology, psychology, sociology, Native studies, career studies, civics and more. When registering, students should bring a copy of their transcript from the last high school attended.

Night school classes begin the week of September 18th and are open to everyone. Credit courses are free. There is a nominal fee for general interest courses. Classes include English, math, biology, chemistry, calculus, physics, Ontario literacy, woodworking, civics, careers and computers. General interest classes in German and Spanish are also being offered.

Heritage language courses for elementary aged children will be offered in Finnish, Polish and German.
