Register for Kindergarten Camp in Rainbow Schools

Rainbow District School Board will offer a dynamic Kindergarten Camp for children starting school this fall. The nine-day program will take place at a variety of Rainbow Schools from 9 am to 12 pm weekdays from Monday, August 20, 2018 to Thursday, August 30, 2018. Children must be registered to attend school where the program is being offered.

“Kindergarten Camp introduces children to Rainbow Schools and the wonderful experiences that await them in Kindergarten,” says Director of Education Norm Blaseg. “It is intended to ease the transition from home to school. Children have an opportunity to become familiar with staff and surroundings, meet classmates, and get excited about starting school.”

Under the guidance of qualified teachers and designated early childhood educators, children will engage in a variety of daily routines and inquiry based learning opportunities including co-operative games and outdoor exploration. The program will focus on collaboration, problem solving and innovation, and math and literacy.

Kindergarten Camp will take place at A.B. Ellis Public School, Adamsdale Public School, Alexander Public School, Algonquin Road Public School, Assiginack Public School, C.R. Judd Public School, Chelmsford Public School, Churchill Public School, Copper Cliff Public School, Cyril Varney Public School, Lansdowne Public School, Larchwood Public School, Little Current Public School, Markstay Public School, Northeastern Elementary School, Princess Anne Public School, Queen Elizabeth II Public School, Redwood Acres Public School and S.Geiger Public School.
