Schools/Board Office closed on Family Day – Monday, February 18, 2008

The Government of Ontario has designated the third Monday in February of each year as a province-wide statutory holiday called Family Day.

As a result, Rainbow Schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin and the Rainbow District School Board Office will be closed on Monday, February 18th, 2008.

The regular Board meeting originally scheduled on this date will now take place on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008. This meeting will be held in the Auditorium at Lockerby Composite School at 6:30 pm.

The purpose of this statutory holiday is to emphasize and celebrate the importance of families taking time to be together.
