Secondary students invited to University Information Program sessions
Secondary school students are invited to start planning their post-secondary journey during one of two University Information Program sessions.
The first session will take place on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 10 am to 11 am at Espanola High School. A second session will be offered on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Lockerby Composite School.
The event is designed to assist graduating secondary school students with making informed decisions before applying to university. The event also aims to help younger students choose high school courses relative to their preferred future university programs.
The fair-style event provides many advantages for students as well as their parents/guardians, including navigating the transition from high school to university, exploring campus life, living in residence, and class schedules. Students can also learn about admission requirements, scholarship opportunities and the application process.
The University Information Program sessions will bring together representatives from all 21 of Ontario’s universities, including Algoma University, Brock University, Carleton University, Lakehead University, Laurentian University, McMaster University, Nipissing University, OACD University, Queen’s University, Royal Military College of Canada, Ryerson University, Trent University, University of Guelph, University of Ontario Institute of Technology, University of Ottawa, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, University of Windsor, Western University, Wilfrid Laurier University and York University.
