Sudbury hosts City/NOSSA Gymnastics Championships on April 15th

Approximately 100 students will participate in the City / Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics (NOSSA) Gymnastics Championships on Monday, April 15th, 2013 from 8:30 am to 3 pm. 

Competitors from the four area school boards will vie for honours in five events – floor, vault, beam, uneven bars and aerobic gymnastics. The competition will take place at the GymZone Family Fitness Centre, 1311 Gemmell Street in Sudbury. 

Medals will be presented for first, second and third place finishes. Ribbons will be presented for 4th to 8th place finishes (individual and overall). There will also be trophies for team champions (levels 1 to 6).

Participating schools include Collège Notre-Dame, École secondaire catholique Champlain, École secondaire catholique l’Horizon, École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier, Lockerby Composite School, Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, Lasalle Secondary School, Manitoulin Secondary School, Marymount Academy and St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School.

Results will be posted on the Sudbury District Secondary Schools Athletic Association (SDSSAA) website at www.sdssaa.rainbowschools.ca.
