A beloved take on the classic fairytale, this one act adaptation of Beauty and the Beast Jr. will showcase the incredible talents of arts education students as they bring the magical story of Belle, the Beast, and their companions to life.

“Our strong cast of 37 students excel in various disciplines – from vocals to theatre and dance,” says Vanessa Chevrette, theatre arts teacher and production director. “Through their artistic talents, students create an extraordinary experience for audiences of all ages.”

“Students play a major role in our large-scale productions,” says Jessica Crowe, arts education administrator for Sudbury Secondary School. “Props and set pieces are constructed in shop class, sets are painted by visual arts majors, and costumes are designed by students in fashion classes. The results are simply breathtaking.”

She adds: “We invite guests to step into the enchanted world of this Disney classic for family theatre at its best.”

Sudbury Secondary School is located at 154 College Street in Sudbury.
