Sudbury Secondary School presents “The End of Civilization As We Know It”

Junior drama students at Sudbury Secondary School invite the public to a special presentation of “The End of Civilization As We Know It” on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

The play, which is part of the “Dramatically Yours!” production, will take place at 7 pm in the Sheridan Auditorium.

Based on the hilarious one act play by Mark D. Kauffman, “The End of Civilization As We Know It” follows a group of students who arrive at school with the intention of writing the worst history exam of their lives.

When teacher Mrs. Mangles finally shows up, students soon discover the exam is anything but what they are prepared for.

For the exam, Mrs. Mangles expects students to give advice about personal matters including her unfaithful husband.

In her constant trickery, students quickly realize this may be the one exam they cannot pass.

Throughout the play, students use witty monologues and short scenes to explain Mrs. Mangles absurd behaviour as she takes them on an outrageous adventure they never expected.

Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $10 for adults.

Sudbury Secondary School is located at 154 College Street, Sudbury.
