Sudbury Secondary School puts hilarious spin on classic Grimm fairy tales

Hunter Depatie, left, Carys Woodrow, Rhea Poliquin, Chris Hammond, Sophie Doherty and Alexis MacIsaac of Sudbury Secondary School rehearse for "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon".

Get ready to laugh while reliving classic fairy tales when Sudbury Secondary School presents Dramatically Yours 2023 on Wednesday, June 7th in the Sheridan Auditorium.

Showtimes are 6:30 pm and 8 pm, with no intermission.
Tickets, at $10 each, can be purchased at the door or on eventbrite at bit.ly/sudsecdramaticallyyours.

The one hour production of “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” by Don Zolidis will feature 209 fairy tales, all woven into one gigantic fable.

The audience will enjoy a wild ride as two narrators desperately attempt to blend characters and stories, through the tales of Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and many more.

“This show has been a lot of fun to put together,” says teacher Sarah Viljanmaa. “The rehearsals had me in stitches more times than I can count.”

She adds: “We have had the opportunity to both work and play with this production and I am very proud of what the students have accomplished.”

Student actor Sophie Doherty is excited to present the production.  “We have all worked super hard in class and look forward to sharing the results with our friends, family and the community. Join us on June 7th. You won’t be disappointed.”
