What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?
Summer School: In-person remedial and upgrading secondary courses
Rainbow District School Board will offer Summer School remedial and upgrading courses at the secondary level. To register, students must have completed the course during the current academic school year.
The program will be offered from Wednesday, July 3, 2024 to Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Sudbury Secondary School, Adult Day School.
During the first seven days of the program, Period 1 classes will run from 8 am to 10:30 am and Period 2 classes from 10:45 am to 1:15 pm. Class times change on the eighth day – Friday, July 12, 2024 – until the end of Summer School and run from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and 10:45 am to 12:45 pm.
Classes will also be offered at Espanola High School from Wednesday, July 3, 2024 to Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 9 am to 11:30 am.
Summer School courses include English, Math, Science, History, Geography, Civics and Careers. Courses are open to all students from public and separate schools.
Courses will run subject to sufficient enrolment and teacher availability. Summer School staff will contact students on July 2, 2024 once course scheduling is determined.
Students can register by contacting their home school before Friday, June 21, 2024.
