Walden Public School Celebrates Success at Cross Country Challenge

Walden Public School’s cross country running team had a lot to celebrate at Laurentian University’s Cross Country Challenge on September 27th, 2012.  The team of 78 students placed second overall for junior girls and second overall for junior boys.  Over 700 students from Sudbury participated in the elementary portion of the event.  The students were also successful in their individual races with Marlee Henschel placing first for the junior girls and Jerod Hurley placing fifth for the junior boys.  Other notable mentions include Lily Hayden, 9th place; Kamryn Butler, 12th place; and Jordan Heffern, 14th place for the junior girls.  For the junior boys, notable mentions include Josh Boucher, 13th place; Jake McGuire, 14th place and Lucas Howland, 15th place.
