Parents invited to register children for Kindergarten Camp in Rainbow Schools

Rainbow District School Board will offer Kindergarten Camp for children starting school this fall. The week-long program will run from 9 am to 12 pm from Monday, August 25, 2025 to Thursday, August 28, 2025 at all Rainbow elementary schools.

Children must be registered to attend school where the program is being offered.

Sufficient registration is required to ensure the viability of each program.

“Kindergarten Camp immerses children into the wonderful experiences that await them in Rainbow Schools,” says Director of Education Bruce Bourget. “Kindergarten Camp also eases the transition from home to school. Children become familiar with staff and surroundings, meet classmates, and get excited about their first day of school.”

Under the guidance of qualified teachers and designated early childhood educators, children will enjoy a variety of daily routines and will engage in inquiry-based learning and play, including co-operative games and outdoor activities. The program will focus on collaboration, problem solving and innovation, as well as literacy and math.

The deadline to register is Monday, June 23, 2025. Inquiries can be sent to kindergartencamp@rainbowschools.ca.

Parents/guardians will be notified in early July about their child’s participation in the program.

If you have not registered your child for school, there is still time to do so. Contact your area Rainbow School to register today.

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 3, 2025. There will be no early dismissal on the first day.
